Serving at BreakFree was a really great experience for me. Driving there and back, was an awesome opportunity to close gaps in relationships. I really enjoyed connecting with people I don’t always connect with on a day-to-day basis. I’m also not usually the driver so that was also great to gain experience and to let the guys give me great driving tips.
I must say both days of painting wood panel after wood panel (lol there were sooo many), were filled with so much peace, on the property itself and with each other. It was so good to have all the people that went to America back with us and to spend time with them again, and for all of us to serve together is what makes it a joy.
It’s also amazing and meaningful to know that helping them and building the church is a seed that we sow that has eternal value, which is so pleasing to God, and that we can call on harvest in property and land for our ministry too. There’s nothing like knowing that you’re doing exactly what God wants you to do, exactly where He wants you to be.
I must say it was so nice for me to work outside doing physical labor which is out of the ordinary for me and also to see how the people at Break Free do things, the way they interact with each other, and the order and the life of God that they operate in. It’s quite sobering to realize what backgrounds the people have, and how choices led to consequences that they now have to live with and to see how God is working in their lives and helping them to live a restored life.
I praise God that we could go and serve. It’s a great joy to live on assignment like this.
