These last couple of days I’ve just been filled with gratitude, He kept on wowing me, He kept on loving me, He kept on demonstrating His goodness to me. I really just found myself the whole time saying thank you and telling Him how much I love Him and appreciate Him because He did all of the wowing, I just had to embrace it.
The best way that I can describe it, especially on the bike, is that He was just there, like fully, intensely, constantly there. It’s like when you go up a hill and someone’s hand is on your back, just there to carry you through it.
When I thought I couldn’t, He was like, “Yes, you can.” When I felt like quitting, He was like, “No continue.” Through some real tough moments, He kept on saying to me, My grace is sufficient for you, and it was. Praise Jesus! He really helped me to get a stomach.
There’s so much of this trip that was significant to me. Lessons I’ve learned, one of them really being; digging deep into Him, trusting Him to give you the strength to press through. To also know that you’re not the only one suffering, everyone around you is also hurting but I had a choice to be willing to have grit and get through it.
The second morning I really didn’t know if I was going to be able to finish and get through the day of elevation. I honestly just had to trust Him. I knew I did my part to train and the whole time I just had to trust Him that He will put His super on my natural. He is so faithful, I really did experience that.
Something that was a maximum for me, that I asked Him before we went, was for Him to help me to close gaps in relationships. That is truly what I experienced. Even in the smallest of details or small things that made such a big difference in relationships. That was really one of the ways He wowed me because I didn’t even have to try, every time He created the opportunity and then He helped me to recognise in the moment that this is a moment to close the gap so I just had to embrace it and I really experienced marvels and wonders with different relationships.
Being on the bike with Pastor John was truly one of my highlights, it was so precious and I had so much fun. I love spending time with him, and I love his rap songs, it’s moments that I value deeply.
Having my brother and Marilie there, wow, all I can say is thank You Jesus. I’m in awe of Him.
There’s so much. Even the journey building up to it. I give God all the glory. It was maximum and I’m ready for the more.
